process
Art Approval

The first step is placing your order and sending us your artwork. If you don't have any artwork, our art department can create custom artwork for you. Depending on the quantity of your order and the kind of design you are looking for, the cost of the custom artwork will be added to your order. Our designers will take a look at your printing instructions and come up with a composite proof for you so you can see what your design will look like on the t-shirts (or hats, sweatshirts, baby doll tees or other garments etc).

Our proofs will show the ink colors to be used on your order, the print size dimensions for your artwork, and the imprint locations on the garment.

At this point, you can approve the design(s) or request a revised sketch. We don't print your job until you approved it for printing. We'll work with you until you are 100% satisfied with your design!

Color Matching

We have a variety of ink colors to choose from our QCM ink charts. However we can also match Pantone colors. Due to the nature of plastisol inks, not ALL Pantone colors can be an exact match. But with our process, experience and industry know-how, we can get pretty darn close.

Film Production

After the art has been approved, we will send the art to our production department and output the films that we will use to burn the screens. All the film positives are pre-registered and checked for detail, quality and accuracy. Once the films are approved in-house we will begin with the screen-making process.

The Screen-Printing Process

Each color in the design needs a screen and each screen must be blocked, taped, setup, and squeegeed. For smaller orders, we may use our manual presses.
For larger runs with more colors, we use our 6 or 8 head automatic press. Typical production is about 14 business days. Depending on our schedule, the quantity and the artwork, we can also accomodate rush jobs.
